1 WEEK!!!

Today starts the one week countdown...

Do I know what clothes I'm bringing. Will I remember all the knick-knacks that I use and might need (chargers, earbuds/headphones, gps watch, etc..). With all the winter clothes in my suitcase, will I be under the 50lb weight limit on luggage? What if I get to the airport and there is a problem with the check bag? What if there is a delay because of the weather? Oh yeah, the weather... should I also pack and count on several changes of clothes per day? I wonder if we will have a way to get coffee in the mornings? UGGG... These thoughts and others race through my mind almost daily now leading up to the departure date of January 31st.

I've been keeping an eye on the weather both stateside and across the pond, and it literally changes almost daily (at least here stateside). 2 days ago it was calling for rain on the 30th and 31st. Yesterday it was calling for snow. Today it was back to rain. Honestly, I would prefer no weather on the day we drive to D.C. then try to fly out, but rain would be infinitely better than snow. Scotland has been pretty consistent though with a chance of showers every day and temperatures in the 40s during the day and 30s at night.

One of the things I plan on doing while we are there is running in the mornings depending on what time we have to leave for our adventures. I'm hoping to see some of the countryside from that perspective. We will be doing a lot of hiking and walking in general, but sometimes there is nothing like a brisk jog to jump start the day..... at least for me...

I will be posting pics and tales from our adventures hopefully daily once we arrive, so stay tuned and...

I CAN'T WAIT!!!!
