A Quiet Realization

This morning I woke up with a couple of things.
Renewed energy, thank the maker. Yesterday was the first time I can remember experiencing “jet lag“. The 24 hrs of travel and the anxiety that comes from moving one’s self from one country to another compounded by doing so with five other people drained me mind and body. But last nights sleep seems to have tackled most of that.
I’ve also woke up with a feeling I was not completely anticipating. My first month in this place three years ago was over running with the excitement one finds when they experience something they have only ever read or dreamed of. But now, being here again and waking up in Ardross, that fiery energy my companions are all feeling that had raptured me for 29 days in 2020, has been replaced with a quiet calm of peace of mind. The slow soft feeling that comes from being wrapped in your favorite blanket or sitting with your closest friend and not having to say a single word.
Scotland and I are at peace together.
