A Return

Today I found myself returning to a familiar place in Scotland. It's been just over 6 years since the last time I visited Loch Ness and then i didn't have the opportunity to visit Urquhart Castle. I only drove the length of the Loch to Fort Augustus and back before a lunch and a distillery tour. This experience is better a 100 fold due to the fact i get to share the excitement and appreciation this time with others instead of just myself, but also to experience the castle as a new experience in a familiar setting was a special moment.
It was a bit of a dreary morning, to be expected in Scotland, but the sun came out right at the best time while at the Loch and the Castle wasn't the only thing beaming in that moment. We all were, not only to experience a site that can date back to the Ancient Picts but also seeing the famous Scottish Landscape be it's glory. Rain and clouds in the distance fighting against the sun to only produce the scenes Scotland is known for.
